I just finished reading Without Reservations: The Travels of an Independent Woman by Alice Steinbach.
Alice is a journalist who decides she needs to get out of her very scheduled and predicable life for a while and travel. She is a single mother whose boys have grown up. She takes April to January off from work and travels abroad. She writes postcards to herself as sort of a travel log. She travels alone and meets several interesting people.
I really liked this book. It fueled my desire to do some traveling.
Oh and it's really well written. Alice is a Pulitzer Prize winner...
